Hosea 8:9-11

⁹ For they have gone up to ^(A)Assyria,
Like ^(B)a wild donkey all alone;
Ephraim has ^(C)hired ^[a]lovers.
¹⁰ Even though they hire allies among the nations,
Now I will ^(D)gather them up;
And they will begin ^(E)to ^[b]diminish
Because of the burden of the ^(F)king of princes.

¹¹ Since Ephraim has ^(G)multiplied altars for sin,
They have become altars of sinning for him.
